After the early-1970s building was completely renovated in 2012, Bohemia Suites & Spa was born, emerging as a 5-star boutique hotel with 80 rooms. Over the years, guests have touted its casual but personalized service. It has become a unique destination on Gran Canaria, with a large percentage of guests returning, proving that its concept of service is top notch.

All guest rooms boast a functional design and are styled in terracotta, gold, and purple, a color palette that is present throughout the building. From their deluxe rooms and suites, the sea is the first thing that guests see each morning before heading to the fully equipped gym for a workout.

A Privileged Location
The hotel is in a privileged location, just a short walk from the beach and shopping facilities, allowing guests to easily explore one of Gran Canaria’s most famous spots, Playa del Inglés. Spanning nearly three kilometers, the golden-sand beach is large enough to accommodate families, young people, surfers, and runners, as well as those who wish to sunbathe alone in privacy; there are even areas designated for nudists among the dunes of Maspalomas. These small mountains of sand, a palm grove, and a brackish lagoon form a unique and rugged nature reserve that spans 400 hectares. It is well worth a visit. 

Half an hour’s walk from the dunes lies one of the best places on the island to watch the sunset: the Maspalomas Lighthouse, which has been in operation since 1890. It is a 56-meter-high concrete tower that looks like a painting when set against the colors of the setting sun. 

The lighthouse is located on the border between the beaches of Maspalomas and Meloneras. The latter, Meloneras, is also the name of the ritzy area located at the southernmost point of the island. It is connected to the Maspalomas beach by a 2-kilometer-long promenade full of fancy restaurants, cafes, and pubs that run along the seafront. Just behind the promenade, the Avenida Marítima leads to a modern shopping area with boutiques, shops, and a casino.
